Dear Little League District Staffs, Local League Presidents and Local League Officials:
Each year, Little League International affords all of its leagues in the United States the opportunity to conduct 125 free criminal background checks through Lexis Nexis. These national checks are designed as a safety measure, and must be completed before any volunteer assumes his or her duties with the local league.
Lexis Nexis background checks are made even more cost effective by the $1 charge for each background check conducted after the first of your league or district’s 125 checks are completed.
It is not mandated that Lexis Nexis be used to complete this requirement, but it is strongly recommended by Little League International.
Per Little League Regulation I (c) 8 and 9, a national check of the sex offender registries in all 50 states must be done on each volunteer with “repetitive access” to children. By using Lexis Nexis, the regulation requirement is met, and leagues also have access to an annual database of 270 million individual criminal records.

All Sunday UCLA Home Games

Jackie Robinson Stadium

 Little League Baseball and Softball and the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) would like to invite you and your Little Leaguers to attend UCLA Little League Baseball Sundays at 1:00 pm. At each UCLA Baseball Sunday home game, Little Leaguers will receive free admission when they wear their Little League uniform.

UCLA Baseball Sunday Home Games:

February 17 vs. Minnesota

March 3 vs. Wright State

March 10 vs. USC

March 17 vs. Washington

March 24 vs. California

April 7 vs. Oregon State

April 14 vs. Loyola Marymount

May 5 vs. Utah

May 12 vs. Arizona (3:00 pm)

On Game-day:

The Little League players and coaches may attend the Sunday home games at no charge. Little League players are required to wear their uniform shirt and should have their Official Little League patch sewn onto the left shoulder of their uniform shirt in order to be identified for admission. Rostered coaches may also receive free admission, but need contact Ali to be placed on the pass list.

  • Wednesday, May 23, at 6:00 p.m. Greater Bellflower and Lakewood Village Little Leagues will certify at Caruthers Park in Bellflower.
  • Thursday, May 24, at 6:00 p.m. Long Beach and West Long Beach Little Leagues will certify at Stearns Park in Long Beach.

Rosters should include the name, address and birth date for each player and the name and address of each adult volunteer (manager, coaches and team mom).

The easiest way to provide rosters is to use the Team Roster application on this site. This application is easy to use and allows you to securely create and send the required information to District 38.
